We are aware that some of our clients wouldn’t necessarily consider an organised tour and are perhaps only travelling with us because of perceived safety issues or a personal recommendation of Compass Odyssey. Some clients are also concerned about the amount of ‘free’ time and opportunities for personal exploration whilst on a tour. If you are usually a devout independent, anti-group backpacker…don’t panic! Joining one of our tours doesn’t have to mean missing out on the freedom and spontaneity that comes from travelling solo.
However, we are also aware that for some of our clients, being part of an organised tour perhaps brings an expectation of organisation, knowledge and personal attention coupled with a desire to travel with like-minded folk and make some new friends.
For the group travel enthusiast, rest assured that our commitment to service delivery and our respectful attitude to each of our client’s individual expectations are deeply ingrained. We also greatly enjoy observing and forging new friendships whilst on tour.
We agree with both our independently-inclined and our group-oriented clients in that it is both the journey and the destination - and with whom and how it is experienced – that can elevate or deflate any travel experience.
Our committed vision is “to bring greater awareness and understanding of our world’s cultures, environment and people by informing and inspiring in an ethical and responsible manner.” This is immediately evident by our personal and non-intrusive guiding style, our knowledge of each region’s history and culture and the manner in which we impart it, and our respect and affection for the natural environment and the local people who live within it.
Our tours encompass a real spirit of exploration, learning, fun and tolerance. All we ask from our clients and fellow travellers is the exact same spirit.
